LemonGrass is an amazing herb/plant, it is used to treat many problems and diseases (You can read these in this article). LemonGrass not only have a pleasant aroma but it is packed with lots of essential nutrients and minerals, such as Vitamins, Zinc, Calcium, Potassium, Manganese, Iron etc. It also contains anti-bacterial and anti-oxidants properties, which makes it perfect for common ailments.

It is mostly found in Asian Countries. But it is available worldwide, you can get it from any store near you (Hopefully). I have grown a LemonGrass plant in my house, whenever I want to make LemonGrass Tea I just go and grab some LemonGrass and start making it’s tea.

Here are a few recipes of LemonGras Teas:

 

 

LemonGrass and Ginger Tea:

 

 

Things we need:

  • LemonGrass Stalk (Depends on the quantity you are making. But mostly I take just one stalk/leave whatever you call it)
  • Few pieces of Ginger
  • Water a cup (300ml/cup)
  • Honey (To sweeten)

 

 

How to Make:

First of all, start boiling the water in a pot. Now cut Lemongrass and ginger small and add them to the boiling water. Let this cook for som minutes about 5-7 minutes. When done, turn off the heat and cover the pot with the lid and let it steep for moments. Strain the tea out. Pour into a cup and serve with Honey or maybe sugar. Drink it while it’s  hot (Like coffee).

 

 

LemonGrass and Cinnamon Tea:

 

 

 

Things we need:

  • Lemongrass Stalks  x2
  • A pinch of Grounded Cinnamon
  • Cinnamon Sticks  x1-2
  • Water 300ml to 400ml
  • Honey (To sweeten)
  • Lemon Juice (To enhance the taste)

 

How to Make:

Start by boiling the water in a pot. While the water is boiling start cutting the LemonGrass stalks into small pieces, add them to the boiling water. Also, add Cinnamon Sticks in it. Let this cook for some time maybe a couple of minutes. Once you are done, add a pinch of Grounded Cinnamon in it. Stir this well. Pour it into the cup, add lemon juice and honey if you would like.

 

Lemongrass and Green Tea:

 

 

Things we Need:

  • Water approximately 300-350ml
  • LemonGrass stalk x1
  • Green Tea Teabags  x1 or 1-2 teaspoon tea
  • Lemon Juice 2-4 tbsp
  • Honey (To sweeten)

 

How to Make:

Start by boiling the water in a pot. Let the water boil completely and then add the Green Tea teabags or tea in it. Now, add Lemongrass Stalks in it (make sure you have them in small pieces). Once done, turn off the heat and cover the pot with a lid. Let this steep for some minutes. Then strain and pour the tea into the cups. Serve with lemon Juice and Honey.
